Demolition NVQ Level 2 (QUA 729)

This suite of NVQ’s is not related to the CPCS Card Scheme. This NVQ is for Demolition Operatives within the Demolition sector.

The process is relatively easy to understand. The procedure is as follows:

      1. Register Candidate (s)
      2. Portfolio Build
      3. NVQ Induction including profiling and evidence collection/collation
      4. Confirmation of underpinning knowledge
      5. Worksite Observations

There are five mandatory units within this NVQ, namely:

         VR 01 – Conform to General Workplace Safety

         VR 02 – Conform to Efficient Work Practices

         VR 03 – Move and Handle Resources

         VR 154 – Remove Components prior to Demolition

         VR 155 – Demolish / Dismantle Brick, Masonry and Concrete Structures

Plus two of the following Optional Units:

         VR 156 – Demolish / Dismantle Fragile Roof  and Cladding

         VR 157 – Demolish / Dismantle Timer Framed and Cladded Structures

         VR 158 – Demolish / Dismantle Steel Frame Structures

So, if you wish to embark upon this NVQ you must complete at least seven units, but preferably eight units to gain this qualification.
