CONSTRUCTION AWARDS ALLIANCE (CAA) TRAINING PROGRAMMES

The present ICT 600 training programme and the next generation of Plant Operator training qualifications (due August 2009) are nationally recognised training qualifications.

These programmes are aimed at novices and operators with limited experience.

CPCS have deregulated training and therefore do not issue training certificates. The HSE ask employers to quantify both training and competence.

These awards are nationally regulated by the Awarding Body for Construction and a training certificate will be awarded on successful completion. This will also prepare the candidate for CPCS Testing if required.

These programmes cover over 50 categories of plant which are used on the CPCS card scheme. The courses are bespoked to individual needs through profiling the candidate.

Funding will be available soon as the new generation will be placed on the qualification credit framework. (QCF)

Each award has its own qualification and you can get a certificate under category groupings.
